From Tangier, the lighthouse of Morocco

During your call to Tangier, «The white dove on Africa’s shoulder», you will visit the city in half a day, but if you have more time, the visit to Asilah the fortified is well worth the day spent there. Its beginning can be traced to 1500 BC when a Phoenician port called Zili was established. Exciting Arts Festival in August. A very imposing rampart, parallelogram-shaped, circles the medina and covers an area of 7 hectares. It is pierced by five gates dating from different periods, of which two are of Portuguese origin: Bab al-Homer (Porta da Vila) and Bab al-Bahr (Porta da Ribeira). Then the Vth century Tingis was occupied by the Romans, the Phenicians, the Vandals, the Portuguese then the Spanish in the 15th century.

From Casablanca: more than just a movie!

In Casablanca, the bustling economic heart of Morocco, the momentous Hassan II Mosque and the coastal road are part of a half-day tour. We can also propose a full-day excursion to warm-hearted and colourful Marrakech or Rabat, the Capital, home to several fascinating museums, and its sister city Salé, a stronghold of sea pirates since the 13th century, flourishing in the 16th century.

From Agadir, winds and wings!

And from Agadir, a full day of bird and animal watching in the National Souss Massa Park or a half-day tour to Taroudant, the walled city of the Souss, caravans crossroad in the XVth century but also used by the Saadian sultans as an inland base to attack the Portuguese occupying Agadir. And suppose your cruise ship calls both at Agadir and Casablanca. In that case, you can enjoy a night on shore, on «terra firma», going Agadir Marrakech-Casablanca, enjoying a fantasia dinner in Marrakech and the charm of an overnight in a riad, the traditional house of the Marrakchis.
