(1 hour transfer & 5 hour walk)
After your breakfast, you will leave Marrakech towards the high Atlas covered by snow in winter. At Imi Oughlad (1350m) you will meet your team, your cook and your muleteers. Then the trek takes you past a vast forest of juniper and oak trees, with a stunning view of Azzaden Valley and its tipical Berber villages.
Dinner & overnight will be in a local gite.
(6-hour walk)
You will continue discovering this beautiful valley with its colourful villages and hills, the Azzaden River circled by apple orchards, a fantastic view of the Tazaghart pick and a massive section of the High Atlas Mountain chain. After discovering the Tamsoult waterfall at 2400m, you will return to your gite at Tizi Oussem village.
Dinner and overnight will be there.
(5-hour walk)
Today your walk will bring you over the Mzik pass, with a beautiful view over Imlil valley, the gateway to Toubkal Peak, right in the heart of the mountains. Imlil is part of a collection of small villages nestling on hillsides at a crossroad of valleys. To the East, the road continued over two passes to the ski resort of Oukaimeden. To the north is Asni, and the southern valley steepened beyond the snow to Morocco’s highest peaks.
Two options are possible: another night on-site or a return to Marrakech in the afternoon.
